During collection times in January and February, the collector will post hours of operation and also have hours of operation on the answering machine. During non- collection times the collector checks the answering machine daily.
Responsibilities:
The Receiver of Taxes is responsible for collection of all county and town taxes on property in the town. The Receiver collects school taxes on certain property from other towns as defined by law. Clinton School now assumes the responsibility for their tax collection. The receiver must maintain records of all collections and penalties.
