Members are appointed by the town board for a five-year term. The Board meets annually on Grievance Day, the fourth Tuesday in May. Duties include hearing complaints on real property assessments, deliberating, rendering decisions, and notification of petitioners by mail. Orders appropriate changes to assessment roll before it becomes final.
